Yes, at import. See screenshot. When I click on "No", then nothing IDEA does not continue, but keeps the "Import" dialog open.

I agree its too generic. Lenovo ThinkPads (T or P series) have good reputation. MacBook Pros work well, too. Most importantly: Get enough RAM and a fast SSD.

Also note that when using the default class template: * it leaves the caret at a place where you can press Ctrl-Shift-Enter (aka "Complete Statement") to go to the next line  (or add "extends ..." ...

Thanks for the quick answer! This problem doesn't really bother me - I'd just thought I tell somebody. Still, a nicer page like "Please log-in to you account <e-mail> here: ..." instead of the 404 ...

Sigh. I had hoped that as a temporary workaround I could just add module dependencies manually and place them before the auto generated dependencies to maven. At least at https://blog.jetbrains.com...

AFAICS I can't: How do you create a composite build were some module/repositories are build with maven and some with gradle? We really need a migration path instead of a "big bang" where we convert...
