I'm pretty sure it's read-write but not 100% posiitive. I do not know what you mean when you say "editor actions are available only when focus is inside the editor"

I tried changing my working directory by using Users/kylefoley/PycharmProjects/inference_engine2 but that did not work. Incidentally the temp_proofs doc is in directory Users/kylefoley/PycharmPro...
