Thanks for pointing me to the action I didn't know about. It however opens an annoying "Find" tool panel instead of a popup under the cursor. At least it saves me a lot of time. And I found an erro...

There's no thread to resume. The program is running from the start and skipping the breakpoint. Besides I already tried both (suspend thread is my default policy)

I don't see the relevance. That thread is about the program suspending on a breakpoint but other threads running and skipping breakpoints. I'm having no such problem.

I have the same issue with a slightly complex conditional breakpoint. All my breakpoints are 'Suspend All' so no thread can be running when my program is stopped (which I assume is a condition for ...

I haven't seen it happen in two weeks, so I can conclude that `suppress.focus.stealing=true` is probably a good workaround.

IDEA-106716 is not my problem as that one involves the window going to the foreground whereas in my case it stays hidden behind othe applications. I see in the comments that someone got my symptoms...

I haven't had the issue for a few months now. I checked the simlink, it's fine. I checked the clocks of both PCs. The server is now 8ms ahead of my PC instead of 5ms so I don't think that makes any...

I can't find a 'File Watchers' in menu 'Tools'. Are you using IDEA or another IDE?

That fixed it, as well as this deal-breaking issue (#IDEA-223832). Still strange that the behavior of the GUI silently changes to become something undocumented without as much as a warning.
