It seems to be not possible :-/ So as to not bump after every commit into this PhpStorm issue, i rename the topfolder `.git` repo into `.git_hiden` so phpstorm doesnt recognize it as a .git folder....

My situation is opposite : i dont want PhpStorm's IDE to manage upperlevel GIT repo, but only subfolder's GIT repo. It does commit to subfolder fine, but then it wants to commit again to topfolder'...
