What helped me is adding to ~/.bashrc: export IBUS_ENABLE_SYNC_MODE=1

Still happens for me. Tried workarounds in this thread and stackoverflow, but the issue is not gone. I'm not sure it's worth to pay for a tool - what am I asking from IDE? To allow me to type? And ...
