To disable the usages inlay hint - go to Settings (Ctrl + Alt + S) > Editor > Inlay Hints > Code Vision and disable Usages option.

Matthew You could also use Git Staging Area instead of Changelists. Changes are not automatically added to the staging area when you open the Commit tool window.
