Color picker support in editor for SVG files?

Answered

 Hello all,

I'm looking for better SVG support in the pycharm editor, especially for color picking. When I edit CSS files, color specifications in the CSS show up as a little color square in the left margin and clicking on the square opens a color picker. This is an awesome feature but it does not happen with SVG files and I'm not sure why. Can this feature be configured for SVG? If so, how?

Currently, *.svg is registered in pycharm as an extension associated with the XML file type. My platform is linux (if it matters), and pycharm version is 2016.3.1.

I installed the SVGViewer2 plugin but this seems to be just for viewing SVG files (which is great) but does not address editor support for SVG files. I didn't see any other plugins related to SVG.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
