'Apply Difference' chevron buttons missing

I usually see buttons that would allow me to apply a chunk of code when doing a merge conflict resolution or any diff scenario.
Above is a snapshot of the button and description.
Below is what I'm seeing... No chevrons...
Has anyone experienced this, and know if they were just turned off or removed or something?

Please make sure that the Show gutter icons option in Preferences - Editor - General - Gutter icons is enabled.
It seems to be the following issue:

It is fixed already, but the fix will only be available in 2017.2
