Webstorm TFS integration plugin timeout on OS X

 I have been using the TFS Integration plugin in Webstorm on OS X El Capitan. The checkout functionality works but the check in usually does not work with a timeout error. Sometimes it does work with 1 or 2 files - but if there are many files it generally does not work.
