Index in DataFrame in new Data View

Answered

Hello everyone,

as somebody who frequently works with DataFrames, I love the new Data View and the option to have it un-coloured by default. I just miss the index in the viewer since I need to view it on the fly for almost all of my projects. Can somebody please tell me where it has gone or how I can activate it again? Maybe, I am missing something important but I've been looking at the preferences ever since it updated, trying to find an option to turn them back on.

Thank you very much!

I just want to post to say that I experienced the same after upgrade. I didn't realize how much I was leaning on seeing the indexes for working with pandas dataframes. If possible I would also like to be able to see the indexes of the data frames in the 'view as dataframe' window. Thank you to the pycharm team for putting out such an excellent product, and apologies to Nathalie for only reiterating your initial post.

Hi all.

I am having the same problem.  The data view was working, but  after an update I did in the Pycharm, I got this problem. Hope they give us a solution.

Best regards.

Same problem here.  Don't you just hate when "upgrades" result in loss of features you depend on?

How can I disable this for now? It also seems DateTimeIndex(es) aren't even supported. This must be disable-able for now!
