Close Quick Documentation window with ESC key (FIXED)
Completed
Normally when I open a quick documentation window, I could close it with the ESC key.
Now, after updating to 2017.1, it doesn't work anymore?

Hi,
What OS do you use?
Since I can't reproduce it on Windows 7.
Thank you
I also have this problem. Whenever the documentation window opens, e.g. CTRL+J, it cannot be closed by pressing ESC(it looses focus and the main window gets the focus, but the documentation window remain there and obscures my code). I then have to reach for the mouse and click close.
Im on macOS Sierra 10.12.6 and IntelliJ IDEA 2017.2.2
Have had the same issue and then noticed the documentation window is opened in "pinned" state. Check the toolbar at top-right corner. Pinned windows are not closed by Esc. Unpin it and it will work as you expect.
@ Marius Muntean Hi,
Pay attention to "pin":
Thank you.
Same issue here on macOS 10.13.2 with Intellij ultimate 2017.3.3. E.g. pressing CMD + E open the recent files dialog, which can not be closed by pressing the ESC key.
This now works in 2018.2.4
This seems to have resurfaced. When I do Ctrl-H (Eclipse keybindings) to bring up the Find in Path window I can no longer press ESC to close the window. The window is not pinned.
@...,
Make sure you enabled Pin Window
