Current version of gradle plugin and intellij idea

Hello, 

I'm another victim of the common "Error running app: This version of Android Studio is incompatible with the Gradle Plugin used." 

I'm running 2017.1.4 and as for gradle

distributionUrl=https://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-4.0-all.zip

and for the gradle plugin I use, 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:2.3.3'

Every single one of them should be the latest stable version, yet it tells me to update.

Can someone tell me which "latest" versions should I use?

It works if I disable instant run, but I would really like to keep it enabled.

Also, perhaps if there would be page / document where it's clearly stated which versions work together it would help a lot!
