Invalid Descendent filename ":1"

I have been using deployments for a while and I never had a problem, however since I have a vncserver running in my remote server I can not set a SFTP deployment anymore. When I try I get the following message:
Test SFPT Connection
Connection to 'servername' failed.
Invalid descendent file name ":1".
I suspect that it has some relation with the vncserver running in the remote machine since the display I create is called ":1"
