Recent File switch on key release?

I used to be using `cmd + e` to switch between recent files.

It used to switch automatically after releasing the hot keys but now requires me to hit the enter key to select the file.

Has there been a change somehow? How can I make it switch on key release again?

Hi there,

Here on Windows 7/10 using Default keymap Ctrl+E (assigned to "View | Recent Files..." action) has always been working like that (I personally do not remember other behaviour in my usage cases). This is to allow Speed Search (so you can type the file name manually). And if it fails (no such file in recent list) then "Navigate | File..." will be shown automatically.

But there is also Ctrl+Tab (Switcher) which functions more like Alt+Tab in Windows .. where it switches to the currently selected file after releasing all keys (Ctrl in particular in this case). Obviously, Ctrl+Tab is not the same as Ctrl+E -- the last one switches between all recent files while Ctrl+Tab loops through currently opened files.
