Missing option "Add to currently opened projects"

According to the docs when opening a project there should be a checkbox that says "Add to currently opened projects" like this one:

But my dialog box looks like this:

I do already have a project open, so how do I enable that option?

Hi Gstevens! This option is only available for creating new projects, here is corresponding issue in our bug tracker: PY-20579.
