Updating webstorm in app?

Hello,

 

I have a problem with updating it directly in IDE, when I press "download" it will open a website where I am supposed to download an exe file and install it(again). 

I can understand that when I moved from 2016 to 2017 version as those might be much different, but currently any small update require me to download it from a website? 

I hope that it can be fixed otherwise it is a bit of a pain to do that.

I did vote, but this post is from 2013... My IDE was working fine last month, but for some reason it now requires me to download a new exe file from a website everytime I try to update it.
