Can't attach console to query window

Completed

I upgraded from 2016.x (can't remember exact version) to 2017.2 and now I always have several options missing when the "attach console" window pops up. It does not matter if I open a new query and hit run to get the pop up or manually select the drop down in the top right. In both cases, a all of my redshift DB's are missing (~4). I have tried restarting with no luck.

Hi,

Did you migrate your data sources to native Redshift ones?  Did you change dialect for a console or a file?

Could you provide any screenshots of context menu and popups?

Thank you.

I did not update any settings, all of my redshift DB's are still on the postgres driver.

When I try attach, I have 12 DB's available out of a total of 16. All 4 missing connect to a redshift db and have names that start with the prefix "Redshift - ". Please let me know if there is anything else I can provide that is helpful!

Hi,

First of all, you need to recreate all your Redshift data sources for better support (from Postgres to Redshift).

What dialect do you use in the file you attach a console?

Maybe screenshots below will help you.

One can change SQL dialect to file by invoking context menu:

One can manage SQL dialects in Settings:

When you attach console, DataGrip based on SQL Dialect makes a suggestion about data sources script could be executed against. E.g.: a script with Postgres dialect could be executed for Postgres data sources.

Thank you.

It was a dialect issue. Was able to resolve it with your feedback. Thank you very much!
