How do I change the title in the window menu?

After changing the name of my project, which seems to work, the Window Menu continues to display "akka-quickstart-scala" which is no longer the name of the project.

Is it a defect that there is no intuitive way to change this.

Window title displays PROJECT_NAME - [PROJECT_PATH] - [MODULE_NAME].

Which part of the title is not updated for you? Are you sure it's the part that you've renamed?

Window menu updates after you close and reopen the project.

Can I remove the module name from the title?

Using IntellIJ 2020.1:

  • Plugin simple-titles--project-only is not available in Plugins Marketplace any more.
  • Plugin custom-title doesn't work (it does nothing).
