Unable to access JetBrains IDE settings repository.

When trying to use the new IDE feature "Sync with Jetbrains account', the IDE thinks for a while and returns with the error message

"Unable to access JetBrains IDE settings repository."

What should I do to get it working?

Check your IDE proxy settings. Make sure IDE can access https://account.jetbrains.com/ via your Internet connection.
