Problem with creating a venv, can't choose WSL for interpreter using Ubuntu

I know WSL and Ubuntu is working correctly,,but when I choose add interpreter under my project I only have the local / base interpreter option.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Could you please provide a screenshot of that?

Under 'Add Interpreter' the only option that comes up is 'Add Local Interpreter' and I believe their should be a remote option for WSL

I only have the base interpreter as an option right now.
