No "Add Custom Runtime..." in the "Choose Boot Runtime for the IDE" dialog

Answered

I want to use my own custom build of JBR but unlike what's said here in the doc, there's no "Add Custom Runtime..." here anymore in version 2023.2.

Compared to 2023.1.5 (screenshot below), the "Advanced" section is missing in 2023.2.

Hi Hymanzxc

I don't seem to be having this problem on Windows 10.

What's your OS? Can you post the contents of your Help | About window?

Is the problem reproducible after disabling all of the non-bundled plugins and restarting the IDE? File | Settings | Plugins | ⚙ | Disable all downloaded plugins

Does it make a difference if you reset the IDE settings to defaults (a backup copy will be created in the process) and restart? File | Manage IDE Settings | Restore Default Settings

No, disabling all plugins doesn't help.

No, restoring default settings doesn't help.

I am still having these options only:

And it seems that this background task "Downloading available JetBrains Runtime list" never finishes.
