System terminal instead of IDE embeded

Answered

After upgrading to IntelliJ IDEA 2024.1 EAP I have some IDE embedded terminal instead of my default system terminal. Is there any way to switch back to my default system terminal?

Hello, Igor. Please change the Shell path option in the Settings | Tools | Terminal window to the shell you use.

Already did and still does not work.

Could you please specify which terminal customization you use? I want to check if this problem is reproducible on my side.

Having the same issue. Already configured to my native zsh executable.

I am using Oh My Zsh on latest MacOS. I'm not sure if its related to this though.

It appears like there's a new embedded terminal because it captures the output of a command and puts it above the shell etc.

It seems like turning off “Shell Integration” disables this behavior, and it is back to normal.
