Does JetBrains have support for adding custom chat participants in for Github Copilot Chat similar to VS Code? Is this a feature that currently exists? Will this exist in the future soon?

Hi, This feature would be necessary to be added by the plugin developer, which is Github.
Hi, from the docs linked in my post it explains how creating and using custom participants is an IDE side feature, not from the plugin. Github has the Chat Participant API which already exists, but using it needs to be enabled by the IDE.
Is there something I may be missing with how the custom participants work that would be different for JetBrains vs VS Code?
I posted in github copilot space no response yet
