color scheme defaults to built-in only once I start editing
Context: I am developing remotely on a machine without internet connection. I use Pycharm2023.1.3 because more recent versions mess up my plugins installed through the client.
Issue: When I open a file the colouring scheme of my python code appears as expected, but as soon as I start editing the file, almost everything turns white except for built-in items (buitl-in functions, self, etc…)

Any help there? This is really painful especially when paying for a professional license.

FYI, the problem also exists with versions 2023.3.6 and 2024.1.3
