RM requires restart after SFTP Deployment Failure

I have configured deployments using an SFTP endpoint, if I do a complete upload of my project to the target server and it fails, for example with a "permission denied" on a file, the last error message I'll have is akin to "SFTP channel not opened". Any attempts to use the deployment target again immediately results in the error message "SFTP channel not opened" message. Yes I can access the server normally via SFTP, quitting my RM project and opening it again allows the deployment to work. This issue is easily reproducible. Screenshots with details incoming
