Ok, when are you updating AppCode for the new Macbook Pro Retina Display?

:)

Serious question though.

damn you!

I'm purposefully avoding all news, and blogs, so that I could have a spoiler free day... so I guess that's one part of the wwdc video already ruined!!

Every year same thing.. when will I learn? disconnect the internet until 10 hours afterwards....

:/

Hard to say, we'll have to wait till Java upports it. And even in case it does, it is not as usefull as it seems, since everything should be scaled to the higher resolution automatically and you'll get the smooth fonts without any work from our side (at least as I understand Schiller's announcement).

"everything should be scaled to the higher resolution automatically" > That is only true for apps using native OSX Libraries (cocoa...), which is not the case with Java.

So right now AppCode renders awfully blured on a retina screen, that looks worse than on a non-retina screen (that is also true for Eclipse, and probably all jetbrains apps...)
My guess, that can be completely wrong, is that Java (SWT or else) probably render UI using OpenGL, so that issue *might* be fixed at Java level someday...
