Why are files not opening?

I just launched PyCharm for the first time in a couple days, and my projects will open just fine, but my files are not opening. No matter what I seem to do, the main editor window is just showing the "No files are open" screen. Any idea what gives?

Actually, upon further inspection, I can't open Preferences either. Could this be a plugins issue or something? Is there a "failsafe mode" I can try?

Found out the problem was the Markdown plugin. Fixed it by deleting idea-markdown under ~/Library/Application Support/Pycharm20
