Remote debug not available? EAP 142.5084-jdk-bundled on MacOS

I am working on a project in PyCharm 5 EAP that I created and worked on in previous PyCharm versions. I had a remote debugger configuration setup that works fine if I open the project in PyCharm 4.5+, but in 5 EAP the debug icon is grayed out. I tried creating a new remote debug entry, but the icon stays grayed out. Am I missing something about enabling remote debug?

Are you able to launch debug process using right-click menu in editor? Could you please attach screenshot with the problem?
I thought I had attached a screenshot, but I don't see it now. Attached are two, one of my code edit window showing that the debug button is grayed out, and one showing the settings for that debug configuration.
