IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate 2016.2.5 Missing in Launchpad and Spotlight
Answered
I'm on MacOS Sierra. I installed IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate 2016.2.5 via the Toolbox app but it doesn't show up in my Launchpad, and I cannot find it using Spotlight. Does anyone know how I can get it to show? My only means of launching the app is through the Toolbox app, which is not a great option.

Never mind. Just reinstalled and everything is as expected. Geez... Not smart today.
How did you reinstall? Through toolbox or separately? I would like to keep toolbox version, so that I can easily update it but installing through toolbox does not create Spotlight entry.
I reinstalled through toolbox. I think the Spotlight entry is created when the Applications folder is indexed; don't think it's a toolbox-level thing but I could be wrong.
Jetbrains Toolbox install location doesn't appear to be indexed by spotlight. Gave up on the toolbox and went back to good old brew
Applications installed via JetBrains Toolbox are not searchable with Alfred by default.
To fix this, just open Alfred's Preferences:
- Open Features Tab.
- Default Results.
- On Search Scope, click + symbol to add new path.
- Press Shift+Cmd+G, insert
~/Library/Application Support/JetBrains/Toolbox/apps, click Go, and Open. Now you can search application with Alfred.
