"find usages" and ctrl-click code navigation behaving oddly

I am seeing two problems which I'm not sure are related.

Problem 1: "Find usages" is producing weird results. If I right-click on a method definition and do "Find Usages" (which should find 6 usages, based on a free text search), it sometimes returns "no usages" and sometimes finds two usages. It's especially troubling that the results don't stay the same.

Problem 2: Ctrl-click navigation of code is mostly failing to navigate my code. Occasionally it will, but mostly it'll find the earliest use of a method in a given script, rather than navigating to the source definition of a method. This works occasionally but mostly doesn't.

Since both of these problems are intermittent, I was thinking maybe they have the same cause and perhaps same solution.

I'm using RubyMine 3.2.4 on Windows 7 (64 bit) with Ruby 1.9.1

Try File | Invalidate Caches.

'Invalidate Caches' didn't help. I had already tried manually deleting the cache files, which I'm guessing had the same effect.

Please file an issue at http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/issues/RUBY with the sample projet attached and the steps to reproduce.

Is it sufficient to attach the .idea folder files? My project is quite large and I'm not sure my client would want me uploading the entire thing to a third party.

No, we need sources and project files, try to reproduce it in another project.
