Invalidate caches causes "Rubymine quit unexpectedly" warning

This happens regardless of how much I've been using rubymine or what i have running at
the time.  I do tend to choose "Invalidate Caches" when the application starts hanging due to too high memory usage.  Any suggestions on how to stop this happening?

I can attach details of the crash as my computer wants to send to apple or I can attach logs if you need them.
