File encoding and line endings

Hello lylo,

Does RubyMine preserve the file format of a given file (from an SVN
repository), in terms of encoding and line endings, or when you save a
file does it force it into the encoding specified in the General
preferences tab?

Yes, it does. You can see the encoding in which the file will be saved in
the status bar. The line separators aren't displayed in the UI but they're
also preserved.
