How do you get meta keys to work?

Hello Brian,

I just installed Rubymine on Ubuntu with JDK 6 update 12. Control key
combos like ctrl-A, ctrl-V, ctrl-C, etc. aren't working. Does anybody
know how to get this to work? Thanks.

Which keymap did you select?

That was it Dmitry.  I selected GNOME and now it works.  Thanks for the hint.
