Not right now... PerforcePlugin takes the default type from perforce while adding files. Is it possible to use p4 typemap to get it done automatically ?
Was this functionality ever added? I'm now wishing I had it, and this is the only reference I can find. Learning about typemap might solve the problem if my p4 admins allow it. But still seems like a glaring missing feature of the p4 support.

I had not noticed the typemap feature before. I defined java files to be of type text+k; I'm sure it will work.
