IDEA Plugin Manager

First version of IDEA Plugin Manager is done and will come in the nearest EAP build.

A Repository part ( http://plugins.intelling.net ) keeps plugin packages in JAR or ZIP format.
And another part is IDEA Plugin Manager component could be found in menu bar Tools | Plugin Manager.

It's just a first version and it can Install (download) plugins only :)

Plugins from intellij.org should be manually moved to plugins.intellij.net

It's free to add categories and modify category tree. And it's free to add plugins and it's updates.
Deleting plugins and categories is permitted.

Current means that you have up to date plugin version installed.

Perhaps this should be changed to say "Installed" or "Not installed",
instead of "Current" or "Missing"?

Just a thought...

What about the situation when it's installed but an older or unknown
version?

Is it posible to use something like HotSwap for plugins? Will be ice
install/uninstall/enable/disable plugins on-flight.

Thanks!

I hope at least adding a new plugin could be done while running, even
if it takes a while until you can unload existing plugins or switch to
new versions (which is far more complex).

Hello,

Is there a way to show the version of IDEA the plugin works with in the
GUI, I spend sometime downloading a plugin, restarting IDEA, just to have an
exception thrown in my face :)
