Clone Project From Git / Check out from Source Control - Project not visible!

Hi there,

I wanted to start working on a project using IntelliJ for the first time. In my options to create the project I selected the 'Check out from Source Control' option, I put in my correct GIT credentials and waited for the clone...
Once all was cloned I was prompted if I wanted to open the project. I clicked yes and nothing happened. All I see is the Welcome to IntelliJ Screen with no Projects listed in the left column and when I click on the 'Check out from Source Control I just get the warning that my path is already in use? This has happened twice now, how do I open my project which I have just cloned?
