Feature Request with changelists/submit process

When I perform a submit and I provide a description but then do a review, I lose the description I just provided. This is really bothersome and time consuming when you provide a very detailed description and have to repeat it multiple times.

+10 , been hit by this one so many times ...

Not sure what the fix would be though, from what i get, the commit description is actually the changelist comment, maybe it would make sense to update the changelist comment when you override the commit description ?

The latest versions of the Changes Bar plugin adds a commit comment
editor (actually edits the Changelist description) to the Changes
toolwindow. If you write your commit comment using this, rather than
waiting until the commit dialog shows, it will persist even if you don't
complete the commit. Also it's easier to work with as you have instant
access to source files and the like... A workaround I know, but it
might help... and a better way of working IMHO.

Cheers,
N.

+1

And SmartSVN has this feature too.

And there is now another reason to use the Changes Bar plugin to edit
your Commit Comments - in the newly released version 1.5, the Commit
Comment editor supports Undo/Redo, which the Commit Comment editor in
the Commit Dialog does not!

Cheers,
N.

It does. :) Not in 7.0M1, but it was added in later EAP builds.

Thing is, If i hava to modify the comment BEFORE committing, what's the difference from modifying the changelist description itself ?

and a better way of working IMHO.

Strongly agreed. Something like ChangesBar should be part of the core product. The usability improvements are extreme.
