I am creating defects in a wrong place

That's pefectly ok.
The only project Non-JetBrainers like us are supposed to create issues in
is IDEA:Feedback.
Somebody from JetBrains reviews them and either moves them to the backlog
where they may be considered for implementation in some distant age to come
or moves them to IDEAVDEV where they are scheduled for the next release or so.
At least that's the theory as far as I understand it.

Hello Alex,

I suspect my defects are not created in backlog. No matter which
project I am browsing, when clicking CREATE NEW ISSUE i get list of
projects where the only rem,onely relevant one is IDEA:Feedback. When
I choose it and create a defect it is created as IDEA-13963 which is
not backlog

I am not familiar wit jira and obviously missing something. please
advise
