Chat on IRC: freenode #idea-users
Answered
If you'd like to chat about IntelliJ IDEA: I am hanging out on freenode channel #idea-users
For fast access you can use the web chat client, too: http://webchat.freenode.net/
Not sure if this channel will get estblished - I just thought it could be fun - and helpful.

In both cases (obviously in the first), I was the only person there.
To update this thread, I thought I'd point out that there are half-a-dozen users on #idea-users today; more people seem to be turning back to IRC for technical chat, so if you're looking for IDEA chat, don't give up, come join us!
I also made #jetbrainiacs on freenode
I think these channels won't get much play unless Jetbrains folks help advertise them
So why do the two channels exist? Can you settle on one? :)
One did not know about the other basically. #jetbrainiacs was supposed to be for all IDE's
I don't have a problem using #idea-users
I think we would settle on whichever you guys a Jetbrains got behind.
For what it's worth, there are currently eight people in #idea-users, and only me in #jetbrainiacs (cute name! : ) -- so it seems the community, at least, is already more aware of the former. That said, I too am perfectly happy to use either room.
Why don't we make a slack channel? Thats what seems to be more popular these days and its been a success with pytorch and atom for example.
@Brandon90 , money.
I don't think thats true. Pytorch and atom aren't paying anything (yes there are limited messages) but at least its a much better technology for communication.
Can I get an OP on #idea-users - this channel generally does not have an OP. Does anyone know the owner?
I am usually idle in the channel - nick sylvanaar
It's not managed by JetBrains, so we can't do that.
