Out of curiosity, how come the build number jumped so high?
I'd guess it is because the 5.0.2 and 5.0.3/5.1 branches were developed in parallel. No one knew how many build numbers would be needed for 5.0.2, so the next version might as well start at 4000.
(I'm working for a company where installing new software is difficult. We use 5.0.1. Is it worth waiting for 5.1 or use 5.0.2 right now?)
Well, 5.0.2 is just a bugfix release -- if your company was bold enough to install 5.0.1 over 5.0 (i.e., not that bold), it should be a no-brainer to install 5.0.2.
Is 4049 a 5.0.3 test build?

You are right, Jonas.
Also the 4xxx builds will turn into IDEA 5.1, not 5.0.3 as we planned earlier.

will there be a 5.0.3 release? why is 5.1 not listed in JIRA roadmap?
thanks for clarification!
5.0.3 == 5.1 and this is still Irida, not Demetra

What's the rough schedule for 5.1?

Hello Ingo,
We have a schedule to release 5.1 in January 2006.
