Irida and Property files

I experienced the same way too.
Our properties file extension is windows-31j (contains japanese characters).

That's a bug fore sure.

We have a property file that is called admin.conf.

When I load it (CtrlShiftN) it asks me what type it is and I state
it is a property file. It loads correctly and I can modify it to my
heart's content.

The problem is that once I close IDEA and reopen it, it forgot that
the .conf extension is for property files, and even if it were open
when I close IDEA it is not opened when the project is loaded after
shutting down and restarting IDEA.

I noticed this in the last several builds, including 3378.

Is that intended behavior or is there a bug here?

I submitted a Jira entry (http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEA-2061)
a while back, but nothing has happened to it so far :(
