Visual Studio 2003 help
I built a map in 3ds max of a city and want to make it work on the screen and be able to press the arrow keys and the object on the screen moves in the city. But once he hits a wall he stop's. Any ideas? I have the True Vision 3d program this is what I got from a tutorial
Tank = Scene.CreateMeshBuilder
Tank.Load3DSMesh("..\..\..\..\Media\city.3ds", False)
Tank.SetCullMode(TrueVision3D.CONST_TV_CULLING.TV_DOUBLESIDED)
That dosen't really work though, because the object can go through the walls. Any ideas on how to make my idea work?

Have you tried running scandisk?
Don't forget to reboot afterwards!
You don't get aowt much, do you?
Look guys this isnt funny... How would running scandisk fix my problem? I came here to get some help on programming not bogus answers! So please help!
The problem is that you came to an Java IDE forum. This forum has
absolutely nothing to do with M$ IDE. That is way, way, way, way, way,
way off-topic. Why don't you ask us what type of off-road tire we use
on our 4x4? :-D

Aha! I always knew you were an environment killing SUV driving petrolhead!
In article <422E466B.50500@yahoo.com>, i.hate.spam@yahoo.com says...
Since you asked, I prefer Mickey Thompson's myself. Sorry, didn't mean
to make this thread any more than it had to be :)

I would like to know what type of off-road tyre Chris Miller uses on his 2x4.
Guys, c'mon, we're java programmers! We can do better than this! You mean to tell me you haven't accidently posted to the wrong forum?
Geo, your problem is with the line:
Tank.Load3DSMesh("..\..\..\..\Media\city.3ds", False)
It should be:
Tank.Load3DSMesh("..\..\..\..\Media\city.3ds", True, True, True, True, False)
...the last True, False means to load materials but not textures.
If you code just False, you will have to reboot and then run scandisk (in that order).
Actually no. I drive an Accord V6. :)

Mmmm, you must be training for marketting, or management then.
Building up the exterior image of an 4x4/SUV whilst knowing the
internals are really just a hacked together Accord.
Is that a 92 accord with something in the back-seat?
Close. A '99 with 2 car seats in the back. :)

Why would I need to run scandisk? Does it install something or mess with my HD?
It seems scandisk creates enough ROOM for the function's FIST.
