Flickering when switching to IDEA from another application
(I'm running IDEA on Windows 2000.)
Am I the only one seeing a very slight flickering when
switching to IDEA from another application. It's very
faint, but I'm quite sure it's there. It's most noticable
when I have IDEA maximized. I think it started a few
builds ago. It feels like the whole IDEA window, or perhaps
just the exposed part, is being redrawn a few times very
quickly.
Has there been any recent changes to the shipped JVM or
to any JVM parameters, such as directX, double-buffering
or so?

It's always been there, mostly noticeable on slower machines. It's not
specific to IDEA, however -- you'll see this behaviour in all Swing
applications. Sad, but true.

The good news is that if that is all that he can find wrong - he will
soon be a convert.
