Productivity Hints inconsistent behaviour
Hi,
Productivity hints does not behave consistently.
It sometimes shows up and sometimes it does not in the following cases:
1) On IDEA startup while scanning the files for the last opened Project.
2) When doing a CVS update on the whole project.
3) During code inspection.
Sometimes there are no next and previous buttons on the bottom of the dialog.
Thanks,

There's no Next/Prev buttons when there's only one topic to show.

Hello Maxim,
When and how does it determine that there is nothing to bring to my attention? May be I am missing how this thing is supposed to work.
Thanks,

It records what features you've been using for some time (let say several days) and if you're not using some feature
that we suppose to be used frequently the feature becomes a candidate to be shown to you next time there's appropriate
place and time for this. As the different features have different expected usage frequency they're not shown all at the
same time.

Hello Maxim,
That's a very very cool behavior. Sorry for the false post - I should have understood it.
Thanks,

Is there a way to disable/customise this? There are some features that I
know about (eg CTRL-SHIFT-B, CTRL-/, CTRL-SHIFT-/, ...) that I simply
don't use very often but I'm starting to feel pressured into doing so ;)

The only way that would work is to use those features at least some number of times (different for each feature) and
prod. guide will leave you alone :)
For the features you've mentioned that minimal number of usages is 3.

Hi Maxim,
Is any chance to have access to Productivity API in 5.0 to allow plugin authors in case of using progress bar show plugin related hints?
TIA,
Dmitry
