main content root

maybe this has been discussed elsewhere, but in any case:

I have set up a multi module project with about 15 modules,
that reside all under one common directory,
e.g.
d:/work/theproject/module1/src
module2/src
etc.

Now, what I somehow lack is easy access to the parent
directory of all modules.
Mostly I would need this for e.g. adding a new module to CVS, or creating CVS tag for all modules.

How do you handle that? (I created a dummy module as workaround, containing "theproject" as content root,
but this is a hack...)
