New EAP name suggestions (IDEA 5)
Hello,
Here some name suggestions:
Michail Juravlev:
Athena (not related to Delphi and Borland)
Dmitry Kashin, Alexey Efimov:
Valhall
+
In Asgard he had a palace called Valhall (wrongly transliterated in English
in its genetival plural form, Valhalla), where fallen warriors spent the
afterlife in an orgy of feasting and fighting, preparing for the Last Battle
which would spell the Doom of the Gods (Ragnarok).
+
Thanks!

In Russian Hera is pronounced as Gera, which is why there should be no
problem at all for those who know at least ten names of Greek gods. I do not
find Hera funny in any way at all. But nevertheless I do not like it :)
Even if "Argo" sounds not nice for someone who speaks Russian,
internationally it still represents the name of a legendary ship which
history is related to heroes and extraordinary people.
BTW, for those who think this word in Russian means just "slang", the
following article could be more interesting as it reflects the real meaning:

Does the Russian "argo" come from the French word "argot" ?
Which means slang too in French :)

A really fun story.
And it gives you something to drink at the release party (you jet-brainers

Unfortunately for Argo, people who speak Russian happen to develop the
product. Apparently name should sound nice for them too, shouldn't it?
Developers team voted by majority yeterday that Argo has to go.
The quest continues :)
Cheers,
Dmitry
P.S. Difference is not overly great anyway.

Well, frankly the actual Argo story does not appear to me at all.
1) The team had grave leadership problems
2) I do not approve of the treacherous way the Golden Fleece was obtained.
3) Many of argonauts never came back
4) The journey encountered many long unproductive delays
Does not seem a good developement plan for 5.0 to me.
:)
Cheers,
Dmitry

What about "Naiad(a)", one of the nymphs of fresh water in Greek mythology?

Mjollnir looks scarey, but it's easy to pronounce ;) (me-yoll-near) ... maahaaa! Besides, the public doesn't generally see these names, just developers/EAP'ers, and they love quirky names! ;)

Greek names are getting boring. Andarta. Daghda. Oghma.
