JetBrains, do you have time to share with us a Pallada status report?
Thanks, Jon
This dosn't seem much interesting for the moment since we're close to a feature freeze. Major unfinished activities are: 1. Execution/external process OpenAPI 2. J2EE OpenAPI 3. Source root package prefix
All the rest is much closer to bugfixing, usability improovments and profiling right now.

Is #3 what I hope it to be? No need to switch to Ecli*se? Yuppeee...

I guess #3 is the ability to designate which package a source root corresponds to; that way the root doesn't need to be organized in folders that mirror the package structure. Many people may find this weird, but some legacy projects use non-standard structures, and it's great that we'll be able to use IDEA to work on such projects now.
Anything to end the "IDEA is a great product except that it forces you to follow industry-standard source tree layout rules, so it's useless intrusive crap" whining...
Guillaume, if you create a new CVS connection, there is a choice for SSH2
in there right now :)
At first glance, I thought you were kidding me ! In #2013, I was only seeing pserver, local, ssh, and ext, but no SSH2 !!!! Then, clicking on SSH... ooohhhhhh !!!! There's a radio button for SSH2 !!!! GRroooovvvyyyy bbabbbyyyyyy !!!!!! I must have been blind. Thanks Robert... and thanks JetBrains and Olesya !!!!! You rulllleeezzzzzzzzzzz :)
Guillaume Laforge
PS: sorry for the big amount of exclamation marks in this post, it's just because, well... er, I'm happy :)
The worst thing ? I was asked to use Eclipse ! But instead, the story ends well: I managed to convince my new company take the decision to buy me a licence for IDEA :)

Yes, this feature is exactly for that :)

PS:
you forgot to apologize for the big number of smilies. :(
You are lucky there a no European quota on those.
Yet.
There is a quota, but since we're getting 10 new neighbours on Saturday
all the limits went up ;)
Oh sorry Alain,
I didn't even notice there were so many smileys as well.
So I apologize also for that.
Mea Culpa.
Guillaume
PS: this time, neither exclamation mark nor smileys

True, but apologizing twice in a thread is bad enough.
You should apologize for that too.

I apologize for all my stupid posts, past, present, and future.
Now, I'll go and punish myself.
(Q: What's the worse punition for an avid IDEA's user?)
Alain
Using Netbeans or Eclipse :)

I used to emit that whine. But we changed over to industry-standard source tree layout rules :)
