Unable to use new settings panel
Hi,
currently (build 1089; observing in build newer than 996) I'm not able to do
any settings using the new settings panel: the panel is initially 3 screens
high (without being any screens there :(), no scrollbars, no buttons
(apply, ...). The only way is to close the window, using the decoration
buttons at the top, but then all changes are lost.
When resizing the windows, no scrollbars appear.
I'm using SuSE linux 8.2 (KDE 3.1.4) on a Intel P4 with the recomended JRE
and two monitors placed side-by-side.
Any ideas???

It most probably means that this panel has been accidentally resized and has
remembered its size. You may delete %IDEA%/config/options/other.xml and all
panels will forget their remembered sizes.

Hi,
thanks for the quick reply!
Deleting that file would have been a little bit too radical, but eliminating the component DimensionService was sufficient for me.
Stays a problem with the panels not existing resizing capability: having a larger set of project/library paths, the small default settings window may be resized, but the inner panels do not use this extra space ...
Thanks again,
Johannes
