996 - horrible redraw flickering

Oh yes, I have it on a plain simple java file. Very annoying.

Just so you know: this happens for me on all the .java files I'm editing. (WinXP)

And I thought it was going to be one of those ones only seen by the few
who use dark backgrounds.

JOOI, How many others use black backgrounds too? Am I in such a minority?

I use a dark blue background. I'm not upgrading to 996 though until I can
be sure Web Modules work.

i'm using white background. the flickering only happens at the right columns at the character i'm keying in.

I have a dark background also.
