Rescanning the JDK on every load?

I really like IntelliJ 8 but each time a open a project, it feels the need to rescan the JDK clases again. This takes a minute or so and is a bit annoying. Is there any way to stop it doing this?

Please make sure that you close IDEA correctly rather than kill the process.
Also make sure that there are no exceptions in idea.log
